1. Information we collect

We may collect information you give us when you create or use your account, including:

• account details such as email address and, if you choose to add one, phone number;
• profile information such as name, age, gender or identity, dating preferences, bio and interests;
• profile photos and, if you choose to verify your account, verification selfies;
• messages, voice notes, chat images, waves, matches, reports and blocks;
• notification settings and technical security records;
• approximate location information used to show distance or nearby discovery features.

2. Location privacy

SXISSOR is designed to avoid showing exact live locations. Location features use approximate distance or broad area information. We do not show your exact address or live position to other users.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• create and manage your account;
• show your profile, matches, messages and discovery features;
• support safety tools such as blocking, reporting and moderation;
• review verification requests;
• send notifications you choose to receive;
• help reduce fake accounts, spam and abuse through security and bot-protection checks;
• maintain and improve SXISSOR.

4. Messages, reports and moderation

If you report a message, photo or account, SXISSOR may keep relevant evidence so the report can be reviewed properly. Reported content snapshots may be kept even if the original sender later deletes the message or content.

If you delete a message or photo, a copy may still be kept for a limited time if needed for reports, abuse prevention, moderation, legal reasons, security or technical reasons.

5. Verification selfies

Verification selfies are used to help review whether an account appears genuine. They are used for account safety and trust. Verification is manually reviewed and does not guarantee that every user is safe.

6. Calls

SXISSOR may offer audio or video call features. During beta, calls may be limited in duration, currently around 5 minutes, for safety, testing and cost-control reasons.

7. Service providers

SXISSOR uses trusted service providers to help operate the app. These may include providers for secure hosting, database and authentication, phone verification, bot protection or CAPTCHA, push notifications, media and file storage, audio/video call technology, and app store or payment services where relevant.

These providers process limited information only as needed to provide their services to SXISSOR.

8. Your choices and rights

You can:

• update your profile information;
• change notification settings;
• block or report users;
• request account deletion;
• contact us to ask what information we hold about you or to request a copy where applicable.

9. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide SXISSOR, protect users, meet legal obligations, investigate abuse, resolve disputes and maintain security. Some safety and audit records may be kept for a limited time after content is deleted where needed for moderation or abuse prevention.

10. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect SXISSOR and its users. No online service can promise perfect security, but we work to reduce risk and respond to safety issues.
